Pursuing Veritas

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all ‘round the farm,
Not a creature was stirring, no cause for alarm.
The ducks and the geese were snug in their pen,
While kiddos dreamed of dinosaurs all over again.

At five years old, Judah’s a builder of fame,
With Legos and laughter, no two days the same.
Math is his jam—he’s sharp as a tack,
And his laid-back humor keeps us on track.

Bree, now eight, is a reader, no doubt,
From books to friends, she’s always about.
Second grade’s queen, with a heart so sweet,
This year she conquered fear of dentist—oh, what a feat!

Hayley’s a whirlwind, with so much to do,
From homeschooling lessons to Etsy dreams too.
She wrangles the rabbits, the quail, and the ducks,
While keeping the farm from running amok!

Jacob’s still writing, another book’s done,
Though his back reminds him, “Take it slow, son.”
He leads at Arise and tends to the land,
Balancing reading and sleeping with hardly a plan.

Colorado was stunning, the mountains divine,
First no-kids-vacation? Now that’s a good time!
From books to the farm, from school to Arise,
Our year’s been a blessing in countless disguise.

So as we reflect on the love we hold dear,
We wish you all joy for this coming year.
From the Prahlows to your family, let cheer take flight—
